‘Simplicity is a fashion statement every woman today can make no matter what her personal style has been in the past. That’s because true simplicity never disappoints. Once you learn that less is more, then enough becomes plenty, and your entire outlook on life – including fashion – is transformed.’ Anon
To me being stylish is all about being confident with who you are and in your own skin - adopting a look that works for you, irrespective whether it’s the hottest trend on the high street.
Being smart or glamorous does not necessarily mean you’re stylish. We can all look good for a night or an event, but to be truly stylish you have to have the ability to look good no matter what you’re doing. By that I don’t mean you have to have perfect nails, expensive clothes and not a hair out of place on the school run. On the contrary it’s about knowing how to make the best of yourself, no matter your size, or what you’re doing - it’s all about being able to look fantastic effortlessly.
In my opinion the easiest way to do this is to start by building a solid foundation, and I’m not talking about your wardrobe, I’m referring to your underwear. It’s simply impossible to look or feel stylish in an ill-fitting bra or once white undies that have seen better days.
The first step is to get the right support in place to ensure you give your clothes the foundation you need for maximum impact. Book yourself in for a professional bra fitting if you haven’t had one for at least a year. Convert those ‘love handles’ into curves buy investing in some light weight shapewear that will literally mould you into shape. The right underwear will not only give you a more shapely silhouette it will also make you look taller and slimmer too.
