A more ethical and sustainable approach
The last few years have made us think carefully about our environmental and social impact. Because our customers’ concerns are also ours, we have opted for socially, ecologically and ethically responsible practices.
At Playtex, being socially responsible is at the forefront of our whole purpose. Our mission is to offer you the best comfort all day long all whilst diminishing our impact on the planet.
Through our business, we are committed to Human Welfare, the Planet and improving our Products and Packaging, 3 essential pillars that our long-term vision has been built on.
From our planet to our employees, and even our products, we are determined to adopt a more ethical and sustainable approach. This ambitious, stimulating and fascinating vision will continue for years to come, because we are all concerned by these issues.
We support our employees and the communities
where we work.
We believe in the respect, the value, the diversity and the richness that each person brings.
We act with dignity while accompanying every individual to allow everyone to progress.
All of our team members are very committed, making the force of our company.
L’agence du don en nature
For 8 years, the HanesBrands group, which Playtex is part of, has supported L’Agence du Don en Nature which collects and distributes new non-food products to the most vulnerable.
Every year, ADN organises the distribution of donated products to over 113 different charities in France to help more than 1 million people living in precarious conditions.
Since the start of our partnership in 2013, more than 800,000 products have been distributed to fight against social exclusion, or 233 charities in 59 countries.
The Hanes group is committed to respecting equal employment opportunities and forbids discrimination and any harrassment based on race, sex, nationality, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, sexual identity, marital status or any other characteristic protected by law.
The group that Playtex is part of gives a great importance to gender equality amongst its employees and also to the representation of women. Currently 73% of our team is female.
In 2020, Hanes’ French branch, which Playtex is part of, got the excellent score of 90/100* in terms of gender equality. This incredible score proves that gender equality is an essential force that drives Playtex to success.
*This score is based on 5 indicators: average salary, individual raise ratio, pay rise applied after a return from maternity leave and number of employees per gender in the top 10 highest salaries.
Human Rights and Responsible Purchasing
Playtex stands for human rights and responsible purchasing.
We ask all of our suppliers to behave with honesty and integrity, and to comply with legislations put into place by our parent organisation HanesBrands.
Our business is involved in implementing good working conditions for our employees by applying a zero-tolerance policy against any forms of violence, harassment or discrimination, and even against child labour for example.
We consider our employees and we strive to respect their rights and help them feel represented.
Since 2009, we are happy to be a member of the Fair Labor Association (FLA), an association for the protection of workers’ rights and the improvement of their working conditions, thanks to the adhesion of international norms and the effort provided by companies, social organisations, secondary schools and universities.
HanesBrands also works with the International Labour Organization’s Better Work Program, reuniting all levels from the textile industry to improve working conditions and the respect of workers’ rights.
We strive to reduce our environmental impact
Since 2020, Playtex has included Ecosmart®’s eco-responsible label on all of the packaging for our new products. This label, which was created internally, was made to convey our environmentally respectful approach on several aspects:
This brings to light all of our responsible manufacturing in our factories or through our suppliers, who have been selected through a set of the highest standards and norms.
By 2030, our group is committed to considerably reducing its impact on the planet, notably by reducing 25% of its carbon emissions, and its consumption of electricity and water. Playtex is aiming to use 100% renewable energy in our factories.
Thanks to the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification. Visible on all of our products, this certification guarantees an efficient management of our processes to ensure that it isn’t dangerous for your skin.
Today, after 13 years of continual progress in reducing our environmental footprint, our business has signed a letter of commitment for the “Science Based Targets” call of action. This commitment implies that:

to contributing to our industry's evolution towards a
more circular process.
Playtex’s design teams are committed to using fabrics that are responsibly made when creating new products, all while keeping the brand’s quality, incredible support and feminine models our priorities.

Its floral embroidery around the décolleté makes this bra extremely feminine. You will be free in your movements, no matter the situation. It is the perfect ally for all day wear.
Organic Cotton Briefs
Made from 95% GOTS certified cotton farmed organically, these briefs guarantee ultimate softness every day. You will love its stretchy certified organic fabric for natural comfort and unequalled breathability and sustainability.
Opt for a more natural and ecological approach, these briefs are available in black or white, or in packs of 2 to 3 to please every woman.

We are contributing to sustainable development through the packaging of our products by reducing the use of plastic and using new, more ecological packaging: our green products feature cardboard hangers which are 60% recycled and are 100% recyclable.
Playtex stands out from the crowd with this alternative because the brand innovates lingerie aisles in supermarkets.
We wish to be transparent with our customers, since 2020 Playtex has been featuring the Ecosmart label on all of the packaging of its products.
For an even more responsible future, from 2025, Playtex aims to:
Use 100% sustainable cotton and 100% recycled polyester in all of our products.
Eliminate single use plastic in all of the packaging of our products and we will strive to use generally recyclable or compostable packaging through the exclusive use of cardboard hangers.
Reduce the weight of our products by 25%
